Default 2018 12” vs 13 2015 shocks

I have 2015 Limited with Stock air shocks . Will I get a better ride with a set of adjustable coil overs from a 2018 ultra that are 12”?

I don’t have first hand experience with the air shocks but it seems people like the adjustables over air....however, they’re still stock shocks so they aren’t that great.

I do have some experience with aftermarket shocks over the stock adjustables. I ordered the Bitubo’s from DK Customs and after roughly 900 miles or so, they are a great improvement over stock. Not sure if you’re getting the adjustables for free or not but if you’re paying for them, save that money and go aftermarket on some good quality coil overs. You’ll be much happier with the increased travel, adjustability, and ride experience.

Air shocks were original equipment on 2014-2016 Rushmores. Actually they have been using Showa air shocks across the FL line since at least my previously owned 1989 FLHS. Probably before then.

Do you have a "low"?

To the OP... in my experience the 13" air shocks ride better than the 12" hand adjustable. The 13" hand adjustable are better than the 13" air!

I am the original owner so yes the air is original shocks.
The ones I am getting are actually 13” adjustables not 12” . I made a mistake in my OP .

Yes, the 2018 adjustable 13s will give you a better ride. Shocks on 17 and newer FLs are pretty much identical, if not exactly the same, as the HD premium ride shocks.
