I haven’t done the 255’s in my wife’s 16 SGS, what I have done is a Fuel Moto Jackpot stainless head pipe, Rhinehart 4” mufflers, HD intake and tts tuner, it’s making 87 hp and 107 trq, and stock cams. Just for comparison.

I have them in both my BT bikes. I've been very happy with the change.

There are undoubtedly better performance aftermarket cams out there, but for an inexpensive and readily available cam that's easy on the valvetrain, the 255 is a good choice IMHO. It gives a noticeable boost in TQ where I ride most times, between 3-4000 RPM and still runs well up to redline.

hey Flying Amber - how easy was it to set up the FP3 map once you put in the cams?

Screw those EPA cams and get aftermarket. Bike will run cooler to boot. It's next on my list as well.

Very easy. I just selected the 255 cam from the list and flashed the map. I ran two or maybe three auto-tune sessions then ran through a tank of gas after flashing the auto-tune updated map. It had some hiccups at first, a few exhaust pops and sputters but the bike's ECM adapted and things smoothed out.

Another tank or two later and it was running really well, but I still had an occasional decel pop. I updated the map to the one firecracker setting in the FP3 for decel pop and it's perfect now. It runs very smooth in all RPMs and the plugs look great!
