Default Rework 12 Ultra Classic Seat

Anyone rework an Ultra Classic seat to lower the profile? I am thinking of sending one of to Mean City to lower the profile, add some comfort, and change out the stitching. Anyone go that route? The stock seat looks too bulky when I pull off the Tour Pak.

Thumbs up

Twice + heat on the Limited. I used the Low seat on the Limited because MMC said the Rushmore Limited seat pans not low enough to mod. The other option was 11 - 13 Ultra seat with the lower pan.

I sent mine to MCC and after my first ride i was sore for two days. I called them back and was informed it take a little while for the seat to "break in". I am still waiting for the break in to occur. The stock seat was okay, many trips to Ohio, Florida. 7-900 mile one way trips. would get up the next morning and go, no issues. I had some spare cash and read that having MCC redo my seat would make it better. I am still waiting for the better part.

Just my .02, oh, i have 33k miles on my 14 Limited, just had seat done in Feb, only 124 mile since.

I don’t know anything about MCC but I do know a little about seats, I bet if you properly communicate where the seat is bothering you- they can adjust it,
I had a seat done and it turned out that my wife needed clearance for her tailbone. Easy fix once I told my guy.
Although, sometimes you can’t.

Thanks. It's comfortable compared to my SG seats. I am looking at lowering the profile of the passenger section and adding memory foam as not to loose comfort. I will reach out to MCC and see what they say. I had a seat reworked by them and liked the results.
