Default Which bars for 2017 Ultra?

Bought a 2017 Ultra last year. Put a new seat on that set me back almost 2" (needed the leg room) . Now my arms are too short. It feels like I have to lean forward now. I did spend some time on a Road Glide special and really liked the seat position (basically what I have now) and handlebar position. I am thinking of putting 10" bars on the Ultra. I believe that would get me very close to the riding position of the RGS. My question is am I on the right track with the 10" bars? Should I go 12" to hit the position I want? Thanks.

I installed 10” Meathook bars (amazon). I believe their a little shorter than the 10” yaffe monkey bars. I’m happy with them. I can’t compare them to a RG as I’ve never ridden one.

No wire extensions nor clutch/brake lines needed for installation.

You Really need to try to sit on other's bikes to get an idea. I had 12 Paul yaffee MBB on my Streetglide. I went with 10 MBB on my limited and so glad about the choice. 12s were great, very comfortable, but I wanted my hands behind the fairing this time.

I have a 2017 Ultra , I changed out my seat to a Mustang 2up seat I found that I was also reaching to much and the extended reach was causing neck and shoulder pain. I put Wildone 579's bars on my 2017 ultra fixed the problem. These bars have more pull back and all cables and wires fit. Easy to pull wires through the bars. Do it yourself and save some money.

A lot of informative posts if you do a search. I and many others did the klockworks 2+2 which is 2up 2back.

I dont make it a habit of asking others to sit on their bike but if they offer . I too want my hands behind the fairing. 10 MBB comfortable as well for ya?

Thanks, I will need to do research on these. As far as doing it myself.... I probably could with a manual but a bit concerned about screwing up. Doing something for the first time, there is always little details/tricks you need to know that are not in the manual.

I will research the 2+2's. 2 up and 2 back sounds like where my hands are when I visualize where I would like them.

The 2+2 bars have a better wrist angle too.
