I just dropped off all of my chrome parts to be powdercoated. Lower engine covers will be Wrinkle Black & everything else will be Satin Black. Wondering if anyone else has PC'd their parts Satin black too? If so, can you post a picture? Most of the bikes I have seen that are blacked out are gloss black PC. Very curious if I made the right choice by taking a gamble on Satin black.
I have searched quite a bit with no luck. Thanks in advance
I have not PC'd a lot of stuff, mostly crash bars, levers, pegs, mounts, mirrors and luggage rack. But everything I have PC'd is Satin Black. With my paint jhob, Black Magic, the parts I PC'd satin black almost disappear.
I bought forks in satin black... used PM Black Ops fork cans. Most of my other PC stuff is gloss black. Sometimes I think of my bike as 50 Shades of Black... but its mine...
and I like it..

I have recently powder coated a few parts on my 2015 Denim Black SGS myself. I went with the gloss because I thought satin might be to much with the Denim Black paint. It was a small investment for the gun, make shift spray booth(cardboard box) and a old electric oven. But I think it turn out great. Easy to do if you have the time and space . I used a glossy black(v-twin black from Eastwood). Here a few photo's of the parts I a have done already. Hope this helps.
I really like the red screens on the brake calipers. Probably could also do that with a good enamel paint and a small brush. I painted a set of calipers on a Porsche with high temp red and a small artists brush....also came out great.
