Default Boom CVO vs Std download technical difference?

So I have a new 18 SGS. Transferred my CB from the old bike and added Sirius XM. Basically have the equivalent of the CVO components and will be adding an aftermarket 6 speaker/amp setup.

question: any functional difference between the boom CVO download that I should put it in? I know about the splash screen and could care less. But I have not found any threads if there is a known technical difference.

Some folks say there is no difference in sound quality but, being a mid-fi audiophile there is a difference to my ears. It appears there is a difference in audio equalization. Makes sense as CVO has more/different amplifiers and speakers and would require a different equalization profile. But some folks have a near-religious belief there can be no difference. All I can recommend is to try it and see how it sounds to your ears.

(ETA: Remember audio equalization changes when engine is turned on so listen to it both ways.)
