Default rushmore coolant parts

how long is harley going to make parts for the cooling systems for the rushmores ? only 3 years of production of these parts. i would hope they would come out with a way to upgrade to the water pumps that is used on the new bikes with no thermostat.

I was told manufactures are required to make replacement parts for 10 years after they stop using them. I hope that is correct.

I thought so too but it uses all different parts including the pump.

I expect the parts will be available for some time yet from the factory and then from the aftermarket and remanufacturers.

It's not just the cooling system parts but all the parts on the TC motor. The M8 is a completely new motor that use few if any of the same parts.

Looking at the parts over at Ronnie's Harley it looks to me like the new pump could be retrofitted to the older machines without too much difficulty.
