Default Advanblack fender extension

Looking to purchase Advanblack Stretch Bags and Fender Extension, wondering if anyone has installed this on a 14 Ultra Limited, the extension uses the tribar light from a Street Glide and I’m told both fenders are the same..but I want to install a Custom Dynamic Tribar LED light in place of my tip light..but not sure the wiring for the Limited tip light is the same as the Street Glide Tribar wiring...or is a harness available..any help is appreciated

The connector and wiring is different for the tip light vs the tri bar, HD makes a kit with the tri bar that already has the connector on it.

The CD version has a brake light function also, so if you are good with wiring, you could make a harness to work. If you want quick and easy the HD part might be the better choice.

Also, there was a guy on here that bought that extension and the holes for the light did not line up. Might want to do a quick search.

I have purchased other items from advanblack and had no problems. I cannot say the same for their Fender extension. I have ordered it and had to return it because the factory tribal brake light did not line up properly with it. Upon returning it I ordered the Arlen Ness original version of it which worked out perfectly. Hope that helps.

Helped my buddy install his Advan bags and fender extension yesterday. Bags seemed nice and mounted without issue. The fender extension was another story. The stock SG tribar light didn't want to line up with the slots in the fender extension once you started to tighten the screws down. One of the slots had some excess molding flash hanging over and when the light was screwed down it caught the molding and the paint chipped off. The right side of the extension doesn't sit the same as the left and is almost touching the pipe. We messed with the pipe and were able to move it over a tad bit, but it is still really close to the extension. After a very short ride around the neighborhood the right side of the extension was extremely hot and you could see the paint was already discoloring. He has reached out to them.

Thanks to Byonhlp andglock35 for the heads up, my Advan black bags and fender extension are on there way to me now. I'll be checking them out closely before installing them. I already have their lower fairings and am happy with them. I spent thirty years in the plastics industry so I am experienced in finding flaws in molded parts. Thanks again.

I would like to mention that there are videos on line covering "adjustments" to custom parts and I don't have a problem tweaking them if necessary. Within reason of course. Now if I'm paying top dollar I would expect no adjustments on my part. I've watched several videos on the Advan parts and hopefully will have little problem.

Update:

My buddy emailed Advan and they are working with him to make things right. They have a new version they are releasing soon to address the known problems. So far, good customer service on his issues!

We slotted the mounting holes on the light itself to get it lined up on my friends bike, just sit the light where it lines up with the slots and you will see where to slot the holes....then you can put the screws in easy and line it all up.

For the OP, what did you do for a fender ? If you used the Ultra fender how did you deal with the holes after you removed the stock Ultra tip ? Or did you go with a Street Glide set up.
