Anyone just upgrade lifters and pushrods?
After putting on my header on the 2015 Road king and tuned. It's ruining great. I also noticed since I did that Valve train noise was reduced. For now the Andrews 57 cam is on hold as I'm not pulling the header. It was a real pia to install.
after all my reading on trying to decide on a cam and calls I made. Seems everyone mentions do the lifters to as the hd ones don't hold well when hitting higher rpms. So I'm thinking high performance lifters and adjustable pushrods only
Thoughts?

I have V&H Power Duals on my '15 Limited. I've changed cams twice without removing the exhaust. I just loosen the nuts at the heads, slip the slip ons off, & rotate the head pipe up as far as it will go. Cam cover comes right off.

Like most he rarely sees more than 4200 and found them zero improvement over the Rushmore cams (unless bringing the rpms up).

57 sounds about perfect
As long as it stays the same on the lower end and does what you say, that's just what I want. I hit 4K all the time and run it up to 5+ just hot rodding around town, getting on freeways, passing cars and trucks.....

No more excessive valve noise, and especially no tick-tick-tick around 2500 RPM, and no more clatter on a cold start, either. The valve train sounds just like my '94 EVO now which, IMO, is as good as it gets.
Just my two-cents.
Good luck,
JP

Over 100k miles on my '14 Limited. Cruise RPM is 3000-3500, shift RPM 3000-4500 regularly, higher in the twisties. Still using stock head pipe, cam, lifters and pushrods. Never babied this bike and it still runs like new, if not better. So unless an issue comes up, I wouldn't waste the money.

I'd replace lifters and inner cam bearings with cam install. With 57's you wont lose any bottom end. However, 57's do respond to some back pressure. Replaced Fullsac 2" baffles with 1.75" and felt a sop increase low tq. The 2" felt good on low tq, just wanted less noise on long rides. And fwiw - with either Fullsac baffle, decat header and hi flo a/c, I have never heard any reversion noise that some have mentioned in other threads.
