No, actually, they're not that fragile. Like I said in a previous post, I've soaked mine so bad I had to wring them out, and they still worked fine.

Warm N Safe jacket liner and gloves work perfect. Used them to the high 30s and never had to turn it all the way up for liner or gloves.

It just occured to me why heated gloves aren't sold in stores. None of them really work. The glove manufacturers make their money off the restocking fees. These gloves have been recycled over the years to customers like myself who trusted the vendors.

All I can say is HEATED CLOTHING WORKS!! I have never had a piece not work. As others have said, I can't adjust any of my gear above level 3 of 5 levels. I ride every year in Chicago I will be riding in the Toys 4 Tots parade this Sunday - temps in the 40's. No heated gear required this time. I have ridden in temps in the 20's and felt like bread in a toaster.......every time. I don't know why you can't find one single pair of heated gloves that work. Thousands of other riders have no problems at all, so I'm guessing there is something wrong on your end.....battery/connections/wiring/something.

I do not have to pre heat any on my gear. I get heat within about 10 seconds - max.
I have the remote dual controller that controls the gloves/jacket liner and pant liner.

The only problem I have with gloves is the way they are wired for the fingers. Around the sides instead of top to bottom. None of the gloves warm the finger tip pads(finger print area).

Do you know anyone you can compare your gloves with theirs and check your gloves on their bike and theirs on your bike???

I've had other riders check my gloves and wiring. I tried heated gloves with my 06RG and none of them worked.
I think I know basic electrics well enough to be installing them correctly. I'm a licensed amateur radio operator, have built electronic boards from kits, do my own home wiring work to code and have done lots of wiring work on bikes.
Yeah, this really is an aggrevating issue.

Default Try Heated Grips

I have had heated gloves for many years. I don’t care for the bulk. I put a set of heated grips on my 17 SGS. I installed them myself. They are by far the best cold weather accessory I own. 75 MPH at 38 Deg. and I had to turn them down from 5 to 3.

I'm sure I must be assuming something wrongly about this.
Now, when you say you can ride in 30 or 20 degree weather, is that fahrenheit or celsius?
Does the size of the glove have anything to do with its capacity to warm the hands?
Do heated gloves only work if you buy and wear a complete electric jacket and trouser set with the gloves?
