Default Sticking rear brake pedal

So I just returned from a 4800 mile trip to Colorado Springs from Maryland. Ran thru a lot of rain from Kansas to Missouri. After getting home My brake pedal on my 2014 street glide special sticks when depressed. I have to use my toe to raise the pedal back to position. I just tires replaced prior to trip, although I did not notice any problems during trip. The bike just hit the 20,000 mileage mark. And yes original brakes.

Any thoughts ??
Thank You

At around 10k miles of my 16 Ultra Classic, I took off the rear brake pedal to clean and lube the pivot shaft. It wasn't as hard to do as on many other types of bikes. You may want to have a small spring puller, I can't remember if I needed one, but I probably did.

At 10k miles mine had plenty of lube on the pivot. Maybe the factory left yours dry.

As a shortcut, you could spray some WD40 or I like the HD Spray Lube. Just spray it around the pivot shaft area and work the pedal.

Around 40000 miles my rear peddle did the same thing I had to use my foot to bring it back all the way turns out the return spring inside master cylinder broke. Mine was replaced under warranty. Sounds like yours could have same problem.

Mine did the same thing. Took it off and greased the pivot point and it has been good for 2 yrs now. Must have left the factory dry.

My front master Cylinder had the return spring go wonky causing the lever to stick as well. Had to have it rebuilt under warranty.

Or you did drive through a bunch of rain like you said allowing moisture in at the pivot points. I know this would make it not the factorys fault and that is hard for some people to live with. Lube it up and see.

Like the others, mine did the same thing. dealer replaced rear master cylinder under warranty. Seemed to be worse when the brakes were hot. Of course they said 'never seen that before'

Have had to grease the pivot point for the rear brake pedal on many occasions after riding in heavy rain.
