Default Lower fairings

I am thinking about adding lower fairings with speakers to my flhxs. For those of you that have first hand experience with the aftermarket fairings, could you weigh in on how they are holding up long term? Is any of the aftermarket significantly better then the others? How is the color matched ones in regards to paint quality? My bike is charcoal denim.

I have had two sets of lowers from Advan Black and both were a perfect paint match, one in Vivid black and the other in Velocity Red Sunglow.Fit was good and the Rushmore style is a clone to OEM lowers and all parts interchange.

I got mine from Fairing Factory (on eBay). Granted they are in Vivid Black, but they have been fantastic. During installation, one of the doors broke at the tack weld. After a quick email, they sent me a complete replacement at no charge within a week. The only negative I could say is that they came with no installation instructions, but it's not rocket surgery. A few Google searches and I was good to go.

Yes.

My AdvanBlack were a perfect color match. After 5,000 miles on them, the paint is chipped in many places, where none of the bike parts are chipped. The left vent doesn't operate very well now either. My 2010 HD lowers had 22,000 miles with no significant chipping.

All in all, if I had it to do over, I'd get the HD lowers.

HD lowers for me as well. Purchased painted to match from Boardtracker. Expensive but worth it for fit and function IMHO
