Factory Paint

Factory Paint
Long story short, due to road construction, I and my bike were pelted with road debris on a section of I-45 that was in the process of being re-paved. The results were a bruise just below my eye and several chips in my lower and upper fairing. Other vehicles were damaged, so a local lawyer is going after the construction company for damages. I know, don't count your chickens before they hatch, but if I get a settlement, do you think a local body shop would be able to do the paint and have it match the OEM paint? If not, what are my options?

That would be my choice whether I won the suit or not.

If that happened to me, I'd just demand new, factory-painted replacement parts. That's what you had before some half-assed contractor caused them to be damaged. Probably no more expensive than a top quality re-paint, anyway, and certain to be the correct color(s).
That would be my choice whether I won the suit or not.

I agree, make back to pre-incident condition, thats all I ever ask for

If you have comprehensive insurance, that damage is already covered anyway. You could sue the POS contractor for the deductible, and your insurance company would probably go after him for the rest to get their money back.
