Default Saddlebag lid rattle

Anyone else have a problem with the new style latching mechanisms rattling every time you hit a bump in the road? I've been chasing a rattle for a while now and finally today went for a ride without the bags...no more rattle. Nothing in them, it's the latching mechanisms in the lid I think. Not sure how the heck to fix it though?

Are you missing the gasket that is in the lid?

No, it's a 2017 and the lids close nice and tight.

If they close nice and tight, how can they be rattling then? Perhaps looking at the wrong thing, ie the lids. Could be the bags themselves. I had an issue similar with my 2014, had to loosen and adjust the under bag support bracket. Easy to figure out if it's that. Remove the bag, put a piece of paper laid on the support bar where the bags rest. Put the bags back on, if you can pull the paper out without any resistance then it needs to be adjusted.

I have a 16 Ultra and my left side lid has the rattle. It almost sounds like the rod or whatever connects the latches together inside the lid.

Mine rattle but the lids lock down nice and tight. Figured it was just the bag itself. Being plastic, I understand these things can't be mounted without a little give here and there. I'll have to try that trick with the paper on the supports.
