I use the X Ram with an iPhone 6plus and its rock solid. Just gotta glue the rubber grippers on when installed. Never used the tether as it's a pain and my phone is t going anywhere.

ram x mount I just did an 7k mile trip around the United States and didn't use the rubber tether at all...

EZPASS mounted with 3m emblem adhesive tape that I painted black.

I have 13k miles on the x-mount and works great. If I were buying today I would consider the tech mount. Looks a little cleaner and good reviews also.
