I have done it with super tuner and street tuner. You make a couple of Smart tune runs and save to computer. Then Open smart tune VE and generate the saved runs and differences will appear in VE table.Save and check for less than 5% difference in VE values and O2 integrators between 95 and 105%.IF so You are done .If not run another Smart tune.Instructions are in the help section and easy to understand. So read the instructions first, then Smart tune.

Here's a pretty good thread on getting set up and using the tuner. Just reading through this will sound confusing as hell, but when you're in front of the computer and the bike, you'll see what you're supposed to do. Once you run a couple auto tunes, you'll get the hang of it. The other posters are correct, just like any tuner, it's limited to your understanding of all the changeable settings and on its own, it can only adjust so much.
The thing I found most difficult is finding a road with no traffic since you need to hold each gear through the whole rpm range to get accurate recordings. Kinda hard to deal with cars coming up behind you when you're in low gear/low rpm. The flip side is risking the ticket when you're in the higher gear/higher rpms and hauling ***.
