4500 miles on rear pads '15 LTD, but I'm on I-95 rush hour traffic. Which is bumper to bumper for miles everyday. Trying EBC pads this time. Fronts have not been changed yet.
2016 FLHXS. I have about 3500 miles on my bike. The brakes are starting to make a grinding noise. Time for new pads already?!?
That roughness is caused by not so great factory disc. Long story short I sent my front disc to Truedisk.net. My front brakes are smooth as silk now with the factory pads. 2016 FLTRU .
On my 07 stock breaks still had good meat at 100K miles exception of rear were replaced very early due to rotor failure , traded in my 15 Limited at 37K just after replacing the tires brakes were in good shape according the tech at my local dealer.
You may just have some bad material in your pads. I'd recommend taking it in and see if they'll replace the pads for free. No way they're worn. I've seen this several times.
