Default Strange humming noise

I have a 2016 SG with about 7500 miles on it. On a recent trip to the Smoky's it started a slight humming noise on left hand curves from 30-50 mph, but doesn't make the sound any other time. I put the bike up on the jack when I got home and spun both wheels and they sound fine, the bearings seem to have no play either.
The tire does have a flat spot in the middle, is this just the sound from a cupped tire, or something else? The tire still has plenty of miles left, I hate to replace it early.
I may call the dealer but I am guessing if they do not find anything they will recommend a tire and if I don't replace it they will charge me, does this sound right?
It seems to ride fine, what are your guys thoughts?

sounds like a wheel bearing to me. common noise with them. did you get it up in the air and take the calipers off and then spin the wheel. you can hold your finger on the end of the axle and if you feel any roughness, they are shot.

Thanks for the feedback, I will try that. It is still under warranty so I better get on it.

It's the tires. I guarantee the edges are feathered if your center is well worn.

You can keep riding it and all will be fine, or you can cut the cupping/feathering off with a rasp.

My bike was doing the same and it disappeared when the rear tire wore out and I replaced it. The tire was a Michelin Commander II that had cupped slightly on the sides.

Sounds like what the other guys are saying,Tires. Wheel bearing will usually manifest itself as a slight pop or clicking sound. If you don't feel comfortable though by all means take it in if for nothing else than for the peace of mind.

Cupped tire is noisy in curves. Dunlop's are common for cupping on front tire.

I am thinking tires as well. Did a pretty good check of the bearings and all seems fine. Guess I will live with the sound until I replace the tire, probably a few thousand more miles at least.
