I can just about guarantee he is right handed. A right handed person will take a left hand turns / curves more aggressive than going to the right. And just the opposite for left handers. The hum shows up more when the tire is worn down when it gets flat in the middle. When my tires are worn I get it louder to the left side than the right side and then when I put new tires it's gone. Happens all the time.

Almost sounds like a crotch rocket exhaust way off in the distance when i hear it on my 14 sg. Noticed it after my run up and down the dragon with other twisty roads in North Carolina a few weeks back.

You are spot on, I am right handed and my tire has more aggressive wear on the left side. I jacked the bike up removed the caliper and spun the wheel. All seems fine, I plan to deal with it until I replace the tire. It still has a few thousand miles left in it.
