Default Extended Reach Bar Questions

Has anyone swapped out stock Ultra bars for the HD extended reach bars? I have a '16 and contemplating a bar swap. I recently completed a little 2800 mile trip out east and it didn't take long before it felt a bridge spike was being nailed between the shoulder blades. Dropping an arm off the bar would pull the spike out so I'm thinking perhaps I'm reaching for them. Whether it would help is left to experience of course. What is like to know is if all the ancillary parts are required, particularly front brake lines. Most certainly I'll need the dealer for bleeding if that's the case. I don't find much information on late model Ultra swaps so just wondering what experience there might be here. Thanks in advance!

I tried the Harley batwing reach bars but soon switched to Khrome Werks 2+2 Narrow Sweeper Bars for more comfort for me. You will have to cut a cable tie or two so all the cables and lines fit.

I went from the stock bars on my 14 SGS to krome works 2+2's. They worked alright but I still would get some pain in my elbows, back and neck on long trips.
Had some custom bars made from BR Custom Bars in Sarasota, Fl. and just got back from a 1650 mile trip thru GA, Tenn. And N.C. what a difference.
It was amazing how much I was leaning forward with the old bars.

I originally was planning to install the "extended reach" bars but ended up going with 12' LA chopper 1 1/4 Twin Peaks Touring bars.

Road 2600 miles a few weeks ago. No issues.

So Khrome Werks says all stock cabling and wiring without changes for the 2+2's. Did you find that true? That would be the way to go if that's the case! No extras, less expensive and more pullback than the HD, plus narrower. KW part # 300519

Yes, stock cables and wires. More pullback, narrower and more comfortable wrist angle, priced at about $100, PT#300519.
