Default Horn fix....saved $$

After a 10 day road trip, 5 of which were rain filled, my cow inside the bell (horn) sounded like it was on its last breath.

I was talking with the parts man at a HD dealer and he said the horn had water in it, remove it and roll it until all the water comes out then blow dry it with compressed air.

I did this when I got home and the horn it back to its original volume, this is on a 2014 Limited.

Hope this helps someone else

Happens to me in central TX all the time because here when it rains, it floods. I really would like a waterproof horn!

While that does work, I have killed a couple of horns thanks to rain.

I've been in several heavy downpours and no horn issues, but it may have dried out before I next tried the horn. Wait, I can't remember the last time I tried the horn. I'd better go take a look, I mean listen. Thanks for heads up.
