Default Quick disconnect and stereo upgrade

I had the fairing speakers upgraded and a amp added. The rear tour pack speakers got upgraded but no amp. What a mess. No control of stereo from rear controls. Rear speakers are almost non exsistent. Any else have problems with upgrading stereo with a quick disconnect on tour pack? I ride a 2017 Road Glide Ultra.

What speakers and amp are you using? And you say the rear tour pak pods speakers are not amped right?

My experience with a 2014 FLHTK. I just had the fairing speakers on mine upgraded to BoomII with an amp. I knew going into this they would disable the rear channel but I'm good with that since my tour pack has been hanging on the wall for almost 12 months.
It's my understanding if I were to install speakers and saddlebag lids or lower fairing speakers I'd have to run a second amp.

I believe the bag lid speakers amp is located in one of the bags. I don't know if you do need another amp for the lower speakers but I'd not bother with those as they, unlike the other Boom! Stage II speakers, are 2-way and not 3-way.

With loss of rear controls and rear speakers, I'd say the dealer programmed the 1 amp 2 speaker flash. Essentially, the bike doesn't know you have a tourpack on.

I installed the Rocker XXR Extreme 630W 4 speaker system from J & M a while back and had no issues with the back speakers not working or not being able to control them. This system is great! Check it out. Didnt have to get the system flashed at the dealer either, Just plug and play. Kinda pricey but IMO it was worth it. They have the same system for the Road Glide Ultra, only the speaker shape is different.
