Yeah me to. Never head that one before. My Brother pulled several different trailers over the years for very long distances and he never indicated any tire wear issue related.

If you've pulled the Bushtec (properly loaded) for 2,500 miles, you should already realize that it's going to give less bike tire wear pulling the Bushtec than what you'd get piling all that gear onto the bike. It's like hot butter; smoooooth & eeeeeasy.

When we had our '02 Ultra we pulled an Aluma trailer which might be a little heavier than a Bushtec. We had over 97,000 miles (mostly 2-up pulling the trailer) when we traded. 2-up combined weight, approx. 350 lb. Rear tire pressure 35 lb. Air ride 45 lb. Tongue weight 35-40 lbs. Radial trailer tires at 35 lbs. Rear tire life averaged just under 11,000 miles over 97K. I tried to stretch one change to 13,000 and it left me stranded with a flat.
