Default Road king special speedo/tach replacement

hey folks I'm contemplating an analog tach speedo on my RKS as well as a flush mount blacked out gas cap/gas gauge. Question, if I replace the unit with one which has the speedo/tach, is there a flush mount cover for the stock gas gauge? It seems ridiculous to buy the 209.00 harley kit and have two gas gauges

any thoughts or opinions? Thanks.

Heres the unit.

I've got both and you can turn off the fuel gauge in the Speedo if you want. I left it on as it is small enough and at the very bottom of the lcd display and just looks right to me.
My only complaint is the gear indicator is very small and hard to read at a glance. The 6th gear light is nice and very easy to read day or night.
Overall, love the Speedo tach combo and color options are endless

Default Thanks olive oil

I don't think inaccurately made my point i apologize. I meant to say is there a sort of gas gauge delete of sorts? Like a pop up gas cap, instead of having to buy the flush mount gauge kit while having the new speedo/tach unit with its integrated fuel gauge its wasted $.

I just want the blacked out flush mount look not two gas gauges. Thank you!

You could go the Dakota Digital route. No fuel gauge and is all black. And just use the Factory flush fuel gauge. Or you could just not plug in the factory fuel gauge and use the gauge on the Harley speedo combo?

yes that would be fine if the gauge package wasn't 209.00 and not using it, does the flick mount pop up gas cap fit in the opening for the stock gauge as a work around alternative?

I can't see it working. The left side of the tank is totally different than the fuel fill side ( no threads). I plan on getting one of the two combo gauges but not sure which one yet. I like the look of the Dakota Digital but it's pricey.

Yep those Dakota gauges are $$. I like the other style myself. I may just fabricate something for the stock gauge location.

will do, I'm thinking maybe a cheaper black pop up gas cap from J&p or something, cut it down to the top and silicone it in?

Harley offers the flush mount on both side, with "hidden" LED... Could use this set and maybe "cut" the light power feed or ground...
