I roll with an iPod Touch...works well, make sure you get a short lightening cable.

IPhone 6 in my pocket via Bluetooth. Skip songs using the joystck. You make playlists in the iTunes app. I had a patriotic playlist running for riding to Rolling thunder on Sunday morning.

I have a Nano 4th gen, 128G. Works perfectly. Only downside is I can't navigate on the iPod while it's connected.

When I listen to XM I have it set on one setting (can't remember if it's Scan or Seek) and when I change to the Thumb Drive I have to change that setting to the other...good luck!
I think you nailed it, i have it set in siriusxm to just go to my next favorite, and not seek. when I use the thumb drive and try to skip it jumps to the favorites i have , which are all siriusxm channels.

Thanks I will look into this.

Exactly, i have a couple that are 10-15 min long and I don't want to listen to the whole thing.

Set it to seek, I will try that today

I have created many playlists on the thumb drive, but sometime you just want to skip a song or jump to the next one for whatever reason.

What device do most of you riders use and which is better integrated with the 6.5 infotainment system.

Thanks
I use a Nano as it doesn't have a hard drive type setup in it. It won't break from the hard riding harleys.

Well all is right with the world again.

Thank you for the seek scan tip, that was it, I went home at lunch and drove her back to the office, listening to what I wanted, and skipping over what I did not want to listen to, thank again.

By SEEK do you mean SCAN? I've been through all the menus and manual and can't find SEEK. Thanks.

Seek is the option above Scan and it's a double feature, it says "Preset". Clicking that option will toggle between "Seek" and "Preset". You can see it in the picture below labeled #1 in the picture of the Boom screen.
