Top off and use the entire runway, you never know.
I haven't taken off with full tanks in years!

Use caution with those fuel bottles!

Had a new guy show up for a ride one time that was on a Honda cruiser. Said he only got about 100 miles per tank. We told him we would stop about every 60 miles or so and he could gas up then. The rub was that we were in some remote parts or Arkansas that didn't always have gas available when we stopped. He was so nervous about running out of gas that he bought a 1 gallon plastic gas can, strapped it to his luggage rack and rode the trip toting an extra gallon of gas (he never had to use it). He said it calmed his fears and gave him some piece of mind. His name was Steve, but we called him Gas Can Steve from then on.

I've carried 2 of the Reda cans. They are very sturdy, haven't had leaking issues, and are DOT approved.
