Boom II audio speakers
i just had dealer installed speaker upgrades for my 2017 Road Glide Special....it was an expensive retrofit, and these new ones sound like a cheap transistor radio...no bass at all even when turned up to max.....the voice is crisper than OEM speakers but in all they suck.....any ideas? could the dealer have made an bad installation/software download? i'm taking it back now to them to complain...

I've got them as well, but I am happy with the upgrade. I think your unhappiness, might have more to do with your expectations... The new speakers are better, but getting a lot of base out of any speaker mounted in a Motorcycle, is likely not going to happen. I got the improvement I was expecting.

I have the boom 2 as well. The sound is excellent when sitting in the garage. When running it difficult to get anybass. Your bass setting has to about -2 to -3. Your treble can be at +2 to +3. If your bass is set any higher it will clip. Have your dealer double check the software they flashed into your system. If it's not correct your are going to have issues. I have just finally gotten my system straightened out. It took replacing the radio and the front amplifier. So far so good. Still have the summer to go so we will see.

I had the boom audio speakers and amp in my 14 street glide special. There is nothing wrong with the boom stuff sound wide. It was a decent setup in my opinion but not for the money. On my 16 RGS i went with hertz mille speakers and JL amp. Dollar for dollar there is no comparison. The hertz and JL was several hundred cheaper.....
