Default I would like some feedback on these shocks

http://www.dragspecialties.com/produ...umber=13101207

Is anyone, or has anyone used these, what are your thoughts and opinions of said shocks.

They are by Drag Specialties, for touring bikes. I know the first thing is going to be that you will have to remove the bags in order to adjust them.
I am fine with that, I am 300lbs, the wife is 120lbs, would these ride better than the stock air shocks.

I do not have the money for 700-1500 dollar shocks (saving for our trip to Italy in the fall)

Let me know, good, bad, there okay for the money, worst POS out there, stock shocks are better

you get the idea.

Thanks

Don't you have the 13" adjustables on the 14 UL and not air? If so, I doubt these will be better. I doubt these will be better than air either.

You can get a pair of Ohlins for about $600 I think.

Some guy had Werks in the classifieds for sale. Should be on top 2-3 pages. Asking 250? Prob need a rebuild sometime soon, but should be a big step up.

I don't know anything about them, but at that price, IMHO you're wasting your money. Save that cash & add some more when you can & purchase a good quality pair of shocks.

None of the factory HD bikes come with the 13" version of the premium adjustable shocks.
You can get them in the parts & accessories catalog, but they are not factory installed.

The Street Glide Special, Road Glide Special, and the "Low" version of the Ultra have 12" version of those adjustable shocks.

But the rest of the touring bikes all still use the 13" air shocks.

where can you get the 444's for that price? I'm looking at replacing my factory air shocks with 444's. The sharp jab/impact to my back, from a small hole in the road, really is a pain! My wife always rides with me..suggestions?
