When you take apart your exhaust and are putting a new gasket on the crossover to right side pipe connection, did you put the gasket on the right side pipe or in the crossover pipe?
I tried to re-use the old crossover gasket, but ended up making mess of it. When I replaced it I found it easiest to push the new gasket into the crossover pipe. You'll need to take your time, it took a few minutes to get it in. Then slid the crossover pipe onto the headpipe.
Thanks. I bought a pipe expander from harbor freight and spread the crossover back out. The new gasket fixed the mess that the PFM left for me. All's good.
What he said. I just did one a few weeks ago and I had to re-stretch the pipe open first as well. You cannot force these gaskets or they will fall apart. If you have a service manual they mention to use a pipe stretcher before installing the gasket.
