Default 2014 Battery

I've got a late year 14 FLHTK. Bought in September of 14 so the battery is actually only 2 1/2 years old. It's cranking kind of slow especially in colder weather, but has never not started. I just as soon not be left stranded somewhere. Has anyone else had a battery failure this soon on your bike ?
Thanks Jonnierock

No, my '14 TK original battery cranks like the day I brought it home...09-2013. Always on a tender. I had a 2005 FLHRC that finally needed a battery and just bit it and used a HD battery. I've always had good luck with them.

My battery is still doing fine, on my 14, about 3 years old, a lot depends on how the battery was taken care of, I keep on a battery tender, when not riding.

I've already had the battery replaced under warranty on my 15 Ultra. I think it's just a crap shoot as to how long they last. Had other bikes that the original battery lasted several years.

Can't judge the battery age by the day you picked up the bike. The bike could have been sitting on the dealer floor or in stock and was made a year earlier. So battery could have another year on it. But as others stated, battery life can vary.

It gets riden daily, and is on the tender in the winter time. I just talked to, two other 14 owners, and they said that both of their bikes have turned over slowly since new. Is this normal ?

Still original battery, got the bike 12/26/2013, always kept on the Tender. The first spin or two is always slow but then it speeds up and fires right up, not sure why but it's always done that. Never a problem...

Mine lasted a year. Thankfully covered under warranty.

Default Mine cranks slow too

I have a 2014 Ultra Limited. It has always cranked slow on the 1st revolution or two of the engine. At home I always keep it on a battery tender, summer and winter. I've taken it on several three week trips where the weather was both very hot and also just above freezing at times. No battery tender on the trips and it always started. I think it's just the nature of the beast.

My 15 Ultra cranks scary slow in the winter. Never had a bike need to be on a tender like this one.
