Michelin Commander II Tire

Michelin Commander II Tire
Getting close to tire changeout time on our 15' FLHTK. Have used Dunlops for many years w/o incident & better mileage with the Elites. However a buddy of mine has installed the Michelin Commander II's and swears by them already after a few hundred miles so am considering those? He states that he no longer feels the grooves (cracks/tar filled cracks) in the road as he did with Dunlops.
So looking for some additional reviews before making the switch... such as likes/dislikes, overall mileage, handling, etc.
Thanks in advance!!

I put Commander II's on my 2012. I agree with your buddy in particular, there was a noticeable difference in road feel around tar snakes (filled cracks) which are prevalent in my area.
Now that I know I can get them for my CVO, I am even considering getting a set swapped on early because I liked them so much. I didn't keep the 12 long enough to comment on wear or longevity though. The guy who installed my tires even commented that they felt really nice, and he's an ex-HD mechanic, so I presume he's test ridden a bunch.

130/60B - 19 61H, same one for my CVO Street Glide.
I think they didn't, at one time, but apparently they do now.

True, the Commanders don't follow grooves in the road as readily as the HD Dunlops. I have a set on now but for some reason the rear is cupping slightly on the outsides of the tread. I run 42 psi in the rear and 38 on the front. They didn't do this on another bike I ran them on. Otherwise they seem to be wearing well, I'm at about 12K now and there's plenty of tread left. My stock Dunlops were toast at 14K.

2014 Tk here. Stock Dunlops ran out at 15k. Put on the MC2's ran to 45k on the clock (30k on tires) replaced with another set of MC2's. Have 70k on the clock now. Front and rear at 4/32" (25k so far) can easily get another 5k before replacing again (30k)
Same comments on road feel. Much better feel.
