Think MC11's are a good tire, i dunno about the tar snakes, i still feel them, but they wear good, aren't noisy, or cupping, like the stockers did, And are a better bargain ,$ wise

 

Had MCII's on my previous bike, Vulcan Vaquero. 22,000 kilometers on the rear tire when I traded the bike and Dealer asked if the tire was new. Handled great too! They will be going on this bike at the first tire change.

 

I like the MCII on my '16 Ultra. I went out to Michelin to see what their inflation specifications are, at least as a starting point for the tire size on the bike. What they say is Fr: 35 R: 39.2 I've been targeting these numbers and have had no issues, excellent tire wear for ~10K miles, good handling, riding mostly solo. I have Legend front, Premium adjustable on the rear. I also run them on my Street Bob where I wish I had something a little more sticky. The Michelin rec for them, more narrow front tire, is Fr: 29.4 R: 39.2. Dressed for the road, I'm probably around 180.

 

Just made the move to the MCIIs two weeks ago- this is the second bike I have run them on and while the Dunlops were good, these are much better. Handling is better, smother ride it seems like. I got almost 16K out of the Dunlops tho...

 

14k out of original Dunlap's put on Michelin commander two vastly improved ride and not feeling like I'm driving on ball bearings, On tar snakes. No brainer IMO.

 

I had MCll's on a 2012 and a 2014.Much grippier tire,smoother running.Doesn't kick out in corners like Dunlop.Had 18,000 miles on MCll's on 2014 when traded.They still looked good.

 

Been riding my Commander IIs for about 2000 miles. I don't notice any significant difference in the ride. I thought my Dunlops felt pretty good and so do these. I bought them because they supposedly last longer and they were cheaper. Michelin is among the best tire companies so to get them at a relatively inexpensive price (comparatively speaking), was deal I couldn't pass up.

 

I really like the MC II's. Thought it rode better & handled better & mileage was great. But I wasn't as comfortable in the rain with them as I was with the OEM's. Just my experience mind you. Heard a lot of good things about the Elites. Getting ready to try a set of them next week.

 

what are the differences between the MCII's and the New Michelin Scorchers?

 

I'm on my 2nd set of MCll. The OEM Dunlops were worn at 13,720 miles. My prior set of MCll were worn at 15,723 miles. Now I have a fresh set of MCll installed last month on my 2015 Road Glide CVO.

Obviously to me the MCll lasted 2K more miles on the same bike. I also find the ride on the MCll tires more sure footed. Both front & rear tires wear out at about the same rate on my bike.
