Depends on how uncomfortable you are. If the bars are more of a want than need then do the exhaust first and the bars over the winter. If you are uncomfortable even riding the thing then address that first. Either way it's your bike and your call.

 

If the bars are a comfort thing, yeah comfort first.

If you're considering bars.......bars first.

 

Another vote for comfort first= Bars
Then maybe later this year, you can find a nice set of used slip ons reasonable. i.e. I just sold my like new Screaming Eagle Street Cannons for $250 a few weeks ago. Maybe you can do both this year that way.

Next year you can look at completing exhaust/stage 1 if that is on your list of upgrades.

 

What year and make bike are you doing the mods ? Which Bars and Exhaust are you thinking about?
