There's been a few threads on this and I think that when you have pandora streaming and plug it into the USB, it will pause pandora because now the BOOM system is trying to play any media stored on the phone (USB). You'll have to make sure that the pandora app isn't paused after plugging in or after a stop. Also you may have to make sure that the BOOM system is set back to Bluetooth rather than USB under the media section.

I have a 15 SGS, I use my iPhone 6 to play my iTunes or Pandora without any issues via the onboard USB in the storage compartment - Does your iTunes work ok? Have you tried a different USB adaptor?
I would turn the bike on first, then plug in the iPhone - it should automatically connect into it, if not do it via the onboard system.

After you get the Bluetooth connected and the phone is plugged in go back and shut off anything playing that automatically started on your phone when you plugged it in, the bike will automatically start to try and read the phone every time. After you get that taken care of start the Pandora app then go to the media and select your phone in Bluetooth. I don't care to plug my phone in to keep it charged this way it's to much of a pain and takes forever to get a charged battery. Yes it is nice to maintain the battery but it's easier to skip it and charge later

That's a good point also. For what the portable power banks/chargers cost now, you could always power the phone or charge it from one of those instead. No need to connect it to the bike any other way than Bluetooth to alleviate the issue of having to switch modes and check the app after stops and such.

my experience it will try and play any music you have saved on the phone to the memory if you plug it in and you will have to stop that playback every time before you can start streaming Pandora, it's reading the phone like a memory stick! For what it's worth I Bluetooth slacker and haven't ever paid for the satellite radio, the only thing the xm is good for is the weather app in my opinion
