Do you ever close the fairing vent?

I'll try it when it gets hot. Otherwise closed except for heavy rain.

You do realize your on a motorcycle right. How much rain is coming thru the vent, really??
I never close the vent, ever!

Harley had to do some wind tunnel testing before coming out with these things. where are the pic's ?

your right about that it will work better at speed to keep the rain off you if you leave the vent open because the vent was designed to flow the air up and away from the rider, closed the vent is like the original batwing and is less efficient putting more dirty air on the rider

was 19° when I left for a ride a few weeks back and I felt a lot more cold air hitting my chin and upper chest area with the vent closed than I did after I opened it
Same for me, close it when it is cold.

I rode in the rain for the first time last week. I closed the vent. The dash stayed dry, as did my helmet shield. I didn't really notice much more buffeting with it closed and my helmet on. I tried closing it once, right after I bought it, while not wearing my helmet and noticed a little more buffeting, but nothing real substantial. I'm sure I'll try it out some more, but like most things, it really about rider preference.

Close it in the rain, seems to spray water while raining on me, but i have a windshield pouch,

Open or close mine based on temp. Makes a big difference when riding in cold weather.

Always closed, doesn't seem to make a difference either way ....2014 Limited - all stock
