How did you connect the output of the Garmin to the input on the radio? When you say you can't hear the XM, are you trying to hear it through the tiny GPS speaker? On the pre-Rushmore bikes you would connect the output from the GPS to the Aux input on the front of the radio.

You might sign in on this forum about Zumo gps ( http://www.zumoforums.com/index.php?action=forum ) called Zumoforums, I've gotten a lot of help from them with my Zumo 665 HD version.

Not sure but try this.

Play the XM radio or use the Zumo MP3 player. While it is playing, use the toggle button on turn the vol up.

All vol controls seem to be different - so, while the FM vol is up, the Zumo vol may not be up.

It is known to have a lower volume output using XM.

But check your volume settings. There are two places to check.
These are generic instructions:
Correcting low volume on zumo devices
If you are having trouble hearing the sound coming from the device, you will first want to make sure that the volume or master volume is set to an audible level. Before you can check the volume, you must connect your device to a powered mount or headset.

To check the Volume or Master Volume:

Touch the Volume icon on the Where To? View Map screen
Confirm that the volume is set to the desired level and it is not muted
If the master volume is turned up and the volume is still low, check the volume levels within the mixer to make sure they are set to an audible level.

To view the device's volume:

Touch the Volume icon
Confirm volume level for master volume
Select Mixer1
Some devices require you to touch the wrench icon to get to the audio mixer selections
Confirm the desired volume for Navigation, Media, Phone, and/or Proximity Alerts
Touch and hold the back button
The volume level should now be set to the desired level.

1The zumo 220, zumo 350, and zumo 390 will not have a mixer, only master volume.

Look for the button labeled "Mixer" on the GPS. The volume levels can be set differently.

I bought a product that boosts the Zumo's volume. Check the link for the Zumo forum early on in the thread. That's where I found it.

Something else to consider is this part. I use it, and it's great. You don't have to route it to the glove box. I plug it right into my GPS harness.
