A friend of mine took his off his RK, so put them on my StreetGlide. I dropped my bike before and I'm sure I'll do it again.

I have the whole wraparound. Pity they don't come in black as well.

If you ever had a dzus fastener that wasn't on just right, well then, you know what I am saying.

I did the whole wrap around too. '16 Ultra. I like that classic look if you can call it that. Also added it to the front fender. I know quite a few consider it added junk, but it makes it mine.

I have a '14 Limited in Daytona Blue Pearl. I wanted to put the wrap around bars on mine until I saw one with them. The bars didn't look good with the graphics on the saddlebags.

If you ride long enough you gona drop her. A tiny scratch on the bar is much better to contend with than a busted bag.

Bars are a must for when you drop it and you will drop it. If you believe you wont then your one hell of a man.
Far as the old wrap around, I don't miss it one bit. Its so much easier to clean and it also gives it a clean look.

I added ' like new' used bag guards from a member here to my RGS, no directions. The top bolts that the bars bolt to, on the frame, had some rubber spacers or bumpers that the seat rested on. Do these stay on or removed. Not a big deal, just wondering.
