If I had to do it over again; I would subscribe to the $11 a month plan in our GMC, then add on the $4 a month for streaming & just use that via bluetooth on my Limited. I get good reception since I moved the antenna to the top of the dash, but I never dropped the signal when streaming from Radio Tunes, Heart Radio, etc. Way cheaper than spending the money on the module & a dedicated monthly subscription.

Kevinch - how much are you spending per month now - on the bike?

Unfortunately that's typical with Sirius/XM. It does the same thing with my car and it drives me nuts!

Just an update. As I mentioned I was unhappy with the XM module and reception. I bought the new antenna and mounted it on the right side of the mail slot. Today I rode for about 100 miles around Phoenix and it worked great. Occasional drop below 3 bars due to an overpass but no interruptions in signal. I can finally use my SDM.

Congratulations!

I've been happy with the updated antenna since I put it on my bike.

This mounting spot "right side of mailbox" has been mentioned several times. Can someone post a picture or direct me to one that's been already posted?

I just installed it on my '12 TriGlide. Bought it from a friend that removed it from his Pre-Rushmore.
- the reception is kind of spotty at times, so, I've got to look into the new antennae.

Call Sirius/XM to add service. If you have other subscriptions, you can get a 'deal' on the added one,

cycle7447,

The weather overlay is ok. You have to go to the weather screen and zoom in a lot. You get to it from your regular Nav screen pretty easy. It has helped me miss rain more than once. Can't post a screen shot as I am 150 miles off shore at work for 12 more days.

I also move the xm antenna out from inside the fairing to improve reception.

Looks like the right side while sitting on the bike...

TriGeezer the difference is night and day. I couldn't listen to a full song with the original unit and antenna. Road again for hours yesterday and didn't drop signal once.

I offered to buy yours but you never responded.
