I was curious about the quality of the signals. Some stations seem weak, music not clear, garbled, all under an open sky, while others are crystal clear and sound great. Could a new antenna improve the quality of the current stations? 2016 CVO.

 

If you have the old antenna, I think you will find an improvement

 

Got my warranty replacement antenna a couple weeks ago. The box was marked 76000221A, dictating it was the new version, but the antenna itself still had the NVGA-1 sticker on it. And like my factory installed NVGA-1 antenna, the new one works just as bad.

Going to order the NVGA-3 from the earlier posted link and just bundle the 20' wire inside the fairing.

 

I have the newest NVGA-3 and the Micro Dot. One thing I noticed using either antenna was not all XM stations sound equal. Some are better sound quality versus others. I think I notice the same thing in my car but not as distinct as on my bike. So don't expect miracles from buying a new antenna.

 

That's what I was thinking also, same issues in my cars.
