Default Older heated seat compatability.

Is their any reason why the heated seat from an 08 CVO wouldn't work with the Rushmores?

The online accessories catalog doesn't show any heated seats for bikes older than 14, but the non heated seats fit bikes from 08-16.

I bought a heated seat off of an 08 FLHTCUSE3 from a friend who's never going to use it again, he says it worked the last time he rode on it. It uses the same 4 place deutcsh connector I have on my accessory harness with confirmed voltage on the switched line going to the hot positive side of the seat.

If I ohm the seat at the power connector I get no impedance, but I don't know if there's a relay that needs power in the switch circuit before it makes contact with the heating elements.

Do not sure if this will help . The accessory connector under your seat down by the battery has two functions. One is always on the other is on only when ASSY switch is turned on.

Correct, and the switched lead is the one that connects to the seat, so the seat can't run when the key is off. That's all as it should be.

Is there a fuse hidden in the seat some where?

I have a pre-rushmore Mustang heated seat (2011ish) on my '14 and it works fine.
I have the switch on the dash which has to be turned on (along with the ignition), but all is well here.
