Default Yaffe 14" Monkey Baggers Bars - Cable Length

Hello everyone...

I am going to be installing a set of 14" PYO MBBs on a friends bike in the coming months. Already have the bars in hand and I think this will be at leaast my 6th set of these bars that I've installed. I don't have access to his bike to measure anything, and come time for the install, I won't have the luxury of measuring and waiting for the cables to arrive.

That said, I know that the stock cables are likely long enough with rerouting, but my friend wants to swap everything to chrome (sterling chromite II) braided lines.

Can anyone give me any idea how long I need for the hydraulic clutch cable and the upper brake line? His bike has ABS, and we'll be replacing the upper, mid, and I think lower brake line assemblies. He hasn't decided on that one yet.

I've tried searching (not terribly hard though) and didn't come across this info.

Thank you!

Yes, stock cables will work with rerouting but if you are changing cables here you go.

Stock Front upper brake line looks to be
64 1/2"

Only showing websites to show length, not selecting these cables...

Clutch shows to be 70 1/2"

Nice chart to look at.

Thank you, I see what you're saying. He could stay with stock lengths and reroute to get the length he needs.

But, if he is buying cables anyway to change the finish, he ought to get the longer lengths and retain factory cable routing. Does anyone know the amount length needed to achieve this? I know how long it had to be on the pre-Rushmore bikes, but my Rushmore experience is more limited.

I wasn't suggesting that he purchase the same length cable, I just located the stock lengths for you. If he is buying new cables it would be in his best interest to purchase longer cables but how much longer, I am not sure. Hopefully someone will chime in to help you out further.
