Roadglide Floorboards
Has anyone installed the Defiance style floorboards on a Roadglide? I'm looking to change out my passenger pegs to floorboard style and looking for some input. I'm concerned about stopping / starting and walking in and out of a parking spot. Also I know that I need to change out the passenger mount for the new floorboards and I see that they offer the standard as well as a Reach Mount.

While I don't have the Defiance boards on my RGS, I did swap the passenger pegs for floorboards at my wife's request. So i got the Streamliner passenger boards to match the stock rider ones. When she isn't riding with me, they are flipped up and out of the way, can't even tell they are there. Now, when shes on the bike it's another story, and its not so much the boards as it is her feet that hit me. Now, my wife is taller than average at 5'11", so she has longer legs and likes to stretch out, it becomes a problem when, like you say I am walking the bike or coming to a stop, I occasionally have to remind her to slide her feet back so she doesn't hit me.
The standard passenger peg mounts are slightly adjustable. If you notice there are 3 holes there on the frame, the bottom one on the mounts is a slide holes and the top 2 will give final height. Mine are set as low as possible because again my wife is tall. It looks like the reach mounts are angled up more and would be perfect for someone say 5'2" or less.
