Default Highway Peg Location

I bought a nice used set from a fellow member last summer. They were the non-adjustable type that clamp to the HW bar. I mounted them and turned them in as much as I could but they are too far for me to comfortably reach with my 31' inseam.
I think what i need to do is to get the adjustable brackets which look like they can be configured to bring the pegs closer. (kind of a knuckle type configuration)
Wondering if you could post some pictures of what works for you.
Thinking it might be nice to have them mounted so that my heels would be resting on the forward edge of the foot board, and the ball of my foot on the HW peg.
I realize that what works well for one person may not be ideal everybody.
This is my first touring bike and I like the foot boards as they seem to give me a couple of positions to move to in order to stay comfortable. The HW pegs will add a few more positions as well. (winter project)
Thanks

The adjustable mounts come in 2 lengths, 50829-07A is 5" long angled and 50830-07A
is 2.5" short angled, they are chromed. Part numbers for black mounts are 50500167 5"
and 50500168 for the short 2.5" one.

This is on my dyna, but the idea is the same. I have Short Angled Adjustable Highway Peg Mount Kit Part Number 50830-07A. They are super adjustable.

You can see that it brings the peg more inline with the brake pedal. I went to the dealer, and one of the parts gurus tried a couple different mounts on my bike in the parking lot. I bought the one that was most comfy.

Thanks I think that is exactly what I need! Are you using the floor board spacer kit also?

Floor board spacers also help. They move the floorboard out 3/4" or 1".

I have the same mounts. They're on the bench in the garage....

No. The floorboards are in the stock location for the FLD.

I'm a 34" inseam. I have the 5" and they're perfect. I almost bought the short ones. Glad I didn't.

Same here, with a 31" inseam.
I'm able to rest my heal on the floorboard too.
