My bags aren't stretched, but I have seen others w/guards + stretch'd & it looked fine. I'm sure someone will chime-in with this look, & keep up the awesome transformation on that Road Glide!

Rear bag guards look cool but are an injury waiting to happen. If your passenger slips or something getting on or off i can feel the gash already lol...

It'll only happen once. Less chance she'll put a boot scuff on my bag lids. Lol.

How much work were the saddlebag guards, I have wanted them but it says cutting and drilling required. I am not going to do that, and had no clue what a dealership would charge to do it. I really didnt want to start cutting my new bike up, but those look great.

I can't see them charging more than an hour. Should only take a half hour tops but they have a minimum usually. You already have bag guards. What does it look like when you pull your bag off? Yours may be just a bolt o . The lower bag support is what gets cut. For bikes without bag guards stock that support runs right to the frame under the side cover. Call Factory 47. You may be lucky and it's a direct bolt up.

Did you do the bag guard install yourself? I was just given a set for Christmas but I can't find any install info as far as measurements for where to cut. BTW your bike is well done!

Thanks.

No. First time in 20 years I'm letting Harley do it. No garage at the new house.

But I'd remove the lower support and then bolt the bag guard on then line up the lower support to where it bolts up at the rear and mark where to cut it.
