Default Road King Audio Kuryakn Road Thunder

I understand there is an Audio forum, but not many Road King guys there.

Anyone have any comments with this new product, might be the ticket for us Road King riders.

That does look impressive. But the reason I bought the road king was I was tired of blasting my stereo loud enough to overcome the blasting from the Rineharts. In the end, it was too much noise. I got the road king now and some quieter mufflers. Much more pleasant riding now. Oh, and one more tip,, I bluetooth my Motorola S9 behind the head phones when I need directions somewhere.

I'm not sure about this product for the Road King. But, are you familiar with the Rockhoodz?

The JP Cycle page says it doesn't fit 2014 RK.

LINK

Thanks,

That's because you're looking at the Softail model, Bob!

The correct one is here. You can also see it on the Reckless motorcycles page here. And, it definitely fits the 2014 Road King . . . that's what mine is.

I hate when that happens. Is it pretty solid mounted there?

Hehehe - we've all done it.

It's as solid as the windshield (that's where it's mounted). I put mine on this last summer, and haven't has a single issue. It's been across the plains, to Sturgis, back from Sturgis, to Daytona, back from Daytona, in the heat, in the cold, in the rain etc, etc. Not a single issue. It's a good product.

I put this on my 14 RK about a month ago. I do wish it was a little louder, but to be fair I ride with a full-face helmet, and I know I would hear more sound with a different helmet. It also depends on the music files. Older music was recorded at lower levels. I can hear everything fine up to around 50 mph. Anyway, the unit works well. The hardest part was wiring it up; I had to get the special HD harness plug. Even with that, however, I still can't turn it on or off with the right toggle switch.

Have one on the wife's Softail. Easy install, and it does work pretty well. It needs some more volume, but you can hear it at highway speeds. It won't sound like the Ultra, but you'll have your tunes.
