Default Tank ready for paint?

Hi,have a 014 SGS,put new fender and rear end on bike,I am not putting stock pinstriping on new parts so tank has to be repainted to get pinstriping off,I might do a custom pinstriping later,do I have to take all the inside stuff out of tank,or for the ones that have done this ,what did you have to do for paint, thanks

had a couple of tanks painted, painter said, "don't bring it in full of gas" LOL. Other than that just taped the quick disconnect fuel line connector and the fuel cap and neck.
