Default Question 'bout heated grips

While the Tri glide is down for the winter I'm going to do a handlebar change, so while I'm doing that I was planning to add heated grips also, even though it doesn't have any.

So my question is, is there a connection already behind the fairing for heated grips or am I gonna have to add one?

Any help- would be appreciated, Thanks!

You didn't say what year. My '14 didn't come with them either, but the plug is there, however it wasnt where the diagram showed it to be, so if you can't find one, look around in the fairing. Little bitty narrow black plug housing

HD heated grips are junk! Look into heat demons.

I added heated grips to my 13 King, the HD ones. Two is about as hot as I can run them with out burning my hands, they work great.

Had HD heated grips added to my 17 CVO Street Glide. They work great, two is as high as I have had them. My hands are above the fairing, as I run 14" apes on both my bikes.

The plug for them was there on the 17, cant remember back to the King, it was done in 2012.

On my 11 Limited I used them a lot as I rode through the winter one year when it only snowed a few times. The rubber, or whatever it is, on the stock HD grips started flaking off which Im assuming was from the heating elements drying them out

Heated grips did not work for me, setting at 3 or 4 would burn your hands but it did nothing for the top of your hands or finger tips, I went with heated gloves and this warmed my hands equally.
