Default Sena 20S - how long is the real "talk time"

I'm considering buying the Sena 20s to replace an old HD headset. I would also get the helmet clamp which adds the cord for the Boom audio. One of the things that concerns me is the battery life on the 20S. On long trips, we may be on the road all day. The Sena website says the battery has a 13 hour talk time. I'm looking for some input from someone that has used the 20S regarding the battery life. Will it last all day or do I have be worry about recharging it at some point in the day. (Charging at night in the hotel room is not a problem - I just don't want it to go dead during the day.)

I have the 10S. Very similar. I have never had the battery go down, even during 10 hour, 500 mile days. I love it.

On long trips, I've been able to ride all day listening to bluetooth audio from my phone without it running out of battery. I just charge it overnight.
Likewise, I get a weekend of use for "short hops" without worry. I do carry a big battery pack for all my various devices (phone, sena, navi, etc...). Sometimes I plug it in when I stop for food or socializing, just to make sure.

It's a nice piece of kit. If you get the wired clamp, I'd be interested in your standard clamp.

I have the Sena SPH10H-FM and a SPH10. Easily lasted 10 hours doing music sharing between the headsets with some intercom here and there. The ride ended before the headsets did.

20s here and the wife and I can ride all day on Saturday and then small trips throughout the week on one charge. Charge on Friday night to do it all over again.

The 20S is a big improvement over the older Sena models. I have had no problem lasting all day. We forgot to plugged them in one night on a trip and they were still OK by the end of the second day. They doesn't take much juice unless you're talking all the time.

The advertised talk time is a realistic number. On long days I make sure to turn he headsets off during stops of more than 5-10 minutes. And this is with riding with the intercom open and music playing.

We've done some pretty long days with our 20s sets. However I have a live 12v power into my saddlebag for whatever and if I really need my 2o, I pop it on charge during breaks and chowtime. Also, are you aware that Sena has the Freewire out now that allows you to tie into the Boom without a helmet wire. Check it out on their site

I wanted to put the aux port in the tourpak but the box says it doesn't work unless the ignition is on. Where do you tap into?

My plan is to store helmets in tourpak when off the bike and have them charging.

Just buy a female 12v outlet, like the cigarette lighter outlet with a attached wire. Crimp ring terminals to the wires and hook onto battery. USB plug into the lighter and then your micro usb to charge the Sena
