After seeing a few posts about members who downloaded the CVO Boom software and changed the file name, I stopped by my dealer to look at the CVO's startup screen.

When I looked at the Home screen of a CVO model, I saw that Sirius XM was where my Setup would be and that setup was now at the top of the screen. Since this renamed CVO file would be installed on a Premium Boom, does it authenticate and does it function? For example, if you don't have Sirius, what is your icon showing on the home screen and where is setup?

I thought anything related to CVO ownership needed verification that you are a CVO owner (e.g. the VIN number).

 

I have the CVO software loaded on my FLHTK. The only thing I found changed is the boot screen with the CVO logo. I also have Sirius/XM, with no change to any setup screens.

 

I don't have sat, that's one of the reasons I was curious.

 

yes it will work. I had it on my FLHTK with no sat. the only difference is the start up screen

 

Are there any details floating around on how to do this?

 

If you ever install the XM module, it will move the setup button to the top right of the screen and the XM button will take the place of where setup used to be.

 

Just rename the ISO filename to what the non-CVO version would have been named.

 

Does the software do anything else other than change the startup logo?
