Default How to clean Foggy Headlight?

Has anyone figured out how to clean the fog from the inside of the new LED headlights on the Rushmores?

Mine has gotten worse, and beyond warranty.

thanks
brian

Unless I am mistaken, the headlight is sealed and not maintainable for inside the glass.

"Sealed" might be a stretch.....I'd go with "not user serviceable".

No you cant take it apart but you will find a small rubber plug on the back of the headlight, remove it and it will take care of itself.

Is it large enough to fit a small packet of desiccant into?

Old trick is to pull the plug, put the assembly face down in a big zip-lock bag of rice to dry it out, takes about 24hrs. Be careful not to move the bag as you don't want rice getting in the plug hole. Take it out of the rice once dry and put the plug back in.

No way, its just a little 1/4" hole if I remember correctly.
Just pull it and don't worry about it. Mine has been out all this year without any side effects. You have to take the fairing off and basically remove the headlight to get at the plug, you'll find it behind a piece of tape.

Bike is going into it's winter nap tomorrow at the dealer. I'll definitely do this in the spring... thanks
